News Gadget

Keep viewers up-to-date on the latest news from your favorite news source. The Revel Digital News gadget is a free to use app for displaying a series of news posts with images, a QR code link to the source article, and various formatting options.

The News gadget is available in the gadget gallery and titled 'News'.

The gadget is highly customizable with options for news source, transition type, and QR codes.

Available options are as follows:

RSS Feed

Determines the source of the news.  A number of popular news sources are available including ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, BBC, Reuters, Newsweek, The Guardian, Politico, NPR, and many more.

Any RRS feed can be utilized by selecting the 'Custom' option from the dropdown, and then entering your own RSS feed URL.

Maximum number of feed items

Limit the number of stories to include in rotation.

Delay between items

The duration in seconds to display individual news stories.

Header, Title, Dateline, Body styles

Customize the text fields in the gadget with options for font size, font family (including Google Fonts), colors, and text decoration.

Show Heading

Show or hide the news heading.

Show Summary

Show or hide the news summary.

Show Date/Time

Show or hide the news dateline.

Show Feed Source Logo

Show or hide the news source logo.

Show QR Code

Show or hide the news source QR code.

Image Display Style

A number of stylistic animations are provided including Blur, Fade, and Zoom.
