Canva Integration

Revel Digital provides a free Canva app designed to help content creators seamlessly exchange content between Canva and your Revel Digital account. Content created in Canva is able to be exported directly into your Revel Digital media library in a number of media formats, including images, video, PDF, and PowerPoint.

If you're new to apps in Canva, please reference their support guide on how to connect apps to Canva. Revel Digital would fall into the first category of apps listed in Content library apps, as it provides ways of both exporting and importing media files to and from the Revel Digital CMS. You can also follow the steps listed below if you get stuck along the way.

Step 1 - Locate and install the Revel Digital App

If you haven't already, sign in to Canva or create a new Canva Account. Once you've signed in to Canva, find the Revel Digital App. You can browse for it on the apps page or by clicking the Apps button on the left side of the home page. Then in the 'Search apps' search bar, type in Revel Digital and hit enter, or choose Revel Digital from the dropdown list. Click on the Revel Digital app listing to launch the app installer dialog window.

In the lower right corner of the dialog window, click on either 'Use an existing Design' or 'Use in new design' to continue and select a project to work with.

Step 2 - Connect the app

With your project now open, Canva will show the Revel Digital app in the left panel. Click on 'Connect' to continue

If you haven't yet logged in to your Revel Digital account, Canva will redirect you to the usual Revel Digital Login portal. Enter your credentials, and click SIGN IN. If you were already signed in, please skip ahead to Step 3

Step 3 - Import or Export Project Media

If the Revel Digital app has been connected successfully, you should see Export and Import tabs near the top of the app panel to the left. Click on Export, and select a Revel Digital media group you wish to export your Canva project to.

Click the purple Export button to continue

Set the desired file type, resolution, or other settings as needed. Click the Export button to publish media to the selected media group. Supported image formats include PNG or JPG. Video formats include MP4. The app currently doesn't include support for multipage file formats such as PDF and .pptx. Expect support for multipage formats to be included with the next app release.

Selecting the Import button allows you to browse media files that have already been uploaded to your Revel Digital account. Clicking a media item once will upload it to your Canva account.
