TeamViewer is a remote device management service that allows full access to the desktop environment of your Windows or Android players. Although not necessary for most deployments, TeamViewer does provide the ultimate level of flexibility when it comes to the management of your hardware.

Revel Digital provides a TeamViewer integration for quickly initiating a remote desktop session directly from the CMS. TeamViewer accessible devices will have a link visible on the device details page which when clicked will automatically connect to the remote desktop of that device.

Step 1 - Create your TeamViewer token

In order to allow connections to your TeamViewer devices it is necessary to generate a script token with the proper privileges. To do this, click the top/right menu in your TeamViewer account and click Edit Profile.

Then click Apps and Create script token

Create a new token with the following privileges:

  • Session management
    • Create sessions
  • Computers & Contacts
    • View entries
  • Device Groups
    • Read operations

Once created, copy the newly generated Token.

Step 2 - Enable integration in Revel Digital

With your TeamViewer token in hand, navigate to the Integrations page of your Revel Digital account in Account Information > Integrations. Then click the Connect TeamViewer button.

Now paste the TeamViewer token and click Submit.

Step 3 - Add TeamViewer ID tags to your Revel Digital devices

Each device in TeamViewer has a unique ID number. This number must be assigned to the corresponding device in your Revel Digital account. This is done by adding a Tag to your Revel Digital device with the following format: teamviewer=XXXXXXXX where XXXX is the device ID from TeamViewer.

In your TeamViewer account you can find the device ID in the device Properties:

Then create a Tag for your Revel Digital device using that same ID number:

Step 4 - Try it out!

Once assigned, you'll see a Remote Control section in the device properties section.

Clicking the link will initiate your remote session.
